BoA '永遠" and "BEST & USA'

This is the PV of BoA latest single "永遠" (Eien), releasing on 2/18



A very cool pv for a mid-tempo poppish song like "Eien"! Never expected the pv to have such a edgy hip-hop dance and it looks great!! Though the 'wall-dancing' looks weird in my opinion but still another great song/PV from BoA. Love her!

BoA will also be releasing her 2nd Japanese best album, together with her debut U.S album on 3/18. It'll have 3 versions: BEST CD-only, BEST & USA CD-only and BEST & USA 2CD+2DVD:

Maximum Update

Since, I’ve missed a few things that have been going on with MAX over the last couple of weeks, I’ll update everything that has been reported and has come out since that time.

Comeback Appearance

MAX made their first public appearance with Mina on October 30 with a performance and interview on Tokudane. They performed their #1 hit single, “Give me a Shake.” You can watch it below:


Following the performance, they were interviewed about their new album and their upcoming live concert on January 31, 2009.

New Releases

Speaking of a new album, MAX will be releasing a self-cover album entitled “NEW EDITION ~MAXIMUM HITS~” on December 10th, 2008. It will contain 12 of their hits remixed and rearranged. It will also a brand new song entitled, “Are you ready?.” The song is written and produced by Clazziquai Project who will also be remixing “Hikari no VEIL” on the album. People who buy the album will be able to go to Lawson and print out a MAX poster card free. This offer is limited and only available in Japan.

Comeback Concert

MAX will be performing a one-night only show at C.C. Lemon Hall in Shibuya. The event entitled, “MAX PRESENTS LIVE CONTACT 2009 ~NEW EIDTION~” will be their first public concert since their last tour eight years ago.

Original MAX Members Reunite

In 2002, Mina (center left) exited MAX in what was said to be just a maternity leave. A new member, Aki Maeda, was introduced into the group in August of that year and left the group that same month this year. Hopes of a Mina comeback ignited when she came back on TV as a dance instructor to VISION FACTORY’s reality talent search show in January 2007. Following her appearance on the show she issued an announcement through MAX’s fanclub that she was officially no longer part of the group. That has changed. To celebrate their comeback and new journey, MAX will be releasing a new re-recorded best-of compilation “NEW EDITION ~MAXIMUM HITS~” on 12/10 featuring all their biggest hits and a new song. They will make a televised appearance, their first with Mina since March 2 002, on Tokudane on the 30th. They will have a comeback concert at C.C. Lemon Hall in Tokyo on January 31st, 2009.

As some Amuro fans may know, MAX are those other girls that shot to fame with Namie in the group SUPER MONKEY’S. Mina is an original member of the SUPER MONKEY’S and debuted alongside fellow MAX member, Nana and Namie in 1992 with the single, “Koi no Cute Beat / Mr. USA.” It is my hope that the new batch of Namie fans give her oldest friends a chance and support them as they too try to comeback as Namie has.

New Label: J-Pop Informations

I've decided that I should add a new label called J-Pop Information and another one called L-Pop Information. I made this decision because there are also other interesting news about other J-Pops and K-Pops, and when there's less news about our Queen of Hip-Pop Amuro Namie, I can post somethings about other J-Pops and K-Pops to keep this blog going. But don't worry, I'll never in my life forget Amuro Namie. Besides this blog is opened for all Amuro Namie fans to view and the ones who are curious about her.
